A Wedding { Lauren + Jonathan }
Lauren and Jonathan are one of the warmest friends I know. I've had so many amazing weekends at their cottage aka Boogie Woogie, that i'll never forget. Shed-room saunas, brush crew on barge and not to mention the octagonal pound!! True story: we once attended a Superheroes party as "Team Canada", each member as a province with their matching cape / flag.
Amazing people, but I'm digressing. This is the story of how "Alberta" + "Manitoba" throws a wedding party! Just like in our school days with parties, dinners, concerts and the occasional jam session; this wedding had a bit of everything but most importantly, good company. It was a perfect celebration and a great way to reunite our classmates again. Sunnyside Pavillion was an amazing venue, and together with the beautiful warm sunlight the day felt like a vacation in the Bahamas. I also particularly love seeing all captures of the behind-the-scene set up from my trusty second eye, Celine. And as you can see, the party was all day long non stop. Some brought their dancing shoes, some brought their beautiful voices; and I was lucky enough to lend my eyes and camera. Congrats Lauren and Jon, Hooray!

Wedding Portraits { Bill + Livian }
I want to share with you a beautiful little portrait session I had with Bill + Livian earlier this summer, while they were visiting from Hong Kong. Living their daily lives in one of the most densely populated and busiest cities in the world, they were looking for something a little different, wedding portraits in a relaxing and landscaped setting. Photos that reflected their enjoyment for the outdoors and traveling the world. Luckily you can't tell how many mosquitoes were zipping around us and all that was left was a beautiful sunset, bride and groom. Their actual wedding celebration is happening this weekend in Hong Kong, so please join me and wish them all the best!
P.S. speaking about traveling the world; I'm heading to New York City with May next week, Brooklyn more specifically, and for a wedding. Any suggestions on things to do and local neighbourhood places to eat?

A Wedding { Natalia + Danny }
"Szybko! Szybko!" yes, I learned a little bit of Polish at Natalia + Danny's wedding. I picked it up while everyone was gathering for family photos, hehe. It apparently means hurry, or quickly. So probably not-something I should be personally yelling at family, but maybe i'll impress some polish guests in the future.
One of my favourite parts of any wedding day is the moment the couple is presented as husband and wife for the first time and they walk down the aisle in celebration. Its a moment filled with pure joy and sincerity. Bubbles in the background, and rice throwing traditions make for great photos and memories. We definitely got lucky and captured some awesome candid moments.
I knew right from the first meeting Natalia and Danny had a plan and knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding, and I can safely say it came out exactly how they envisioned it. Leave it to Natalia and her superstar graphic skills for the beautiful self handmade invitations, i'm really impressed with the way they turned out. Cute polka dot bridesmaids dresses, and gentleman bow ties are just some of the details that made this wedding both classic and modern at the same time. I'm so glad that big heart cushion from their apartment traveled with us through out the day! Congratulations Natalia + Danny!
Many thanks to my wonderful team, Celine and Titus for their amazing talents.
